- 自述:
My name
is Michael and I've been in Taiwan for about four years.
I'm from Montreal, Quebec, in the French speaking region
of Canada but no, I'm not a French-Canadian. When I
was young I also spent five years in London, England
when my father was moved there on business. Back in
Canada, my interest in foreign countries and peoples
led me to study anthropology and archaeology at university.
When not writing for 1390.com or teaching English,
some of my favorite hobbies include listening to, and
playing, music; reading, and photography. My musical
tastes are quite diverse ranging from the loud rock
and roll I used to play with my band in school, to classical
music and jazz. I enjoy reading novels and books on
history and culture and my photography skill is still
being, shall we say, developed.
I have enjoyed the time I have spent in Taiwan and
I find this country to constantly interesting. The exuberance
and friendliness of the people impresses me almost daily
and, while I find the driving here to be quite deadly,
I enjoy living in Taiwan and witnessing the ever-changing,
dynamic nature of the nation and its inhabitants. (And
yes, I've tried "Cho Dofu" and "Ji Piku"
and no, I don't like them…)
